Speaker Mutti calls for establishment of Zambia-Serbia Parliamentary Friendship Group

Speaker of the National Assembly of Zambia, Rt. Hon. Dr. Nelly B.K. Mutti, SC, MP, FAPRA, has stated that the establishment of a Zambia-Serbia Parliamentary Friendship Group would be a significant step towards strengthening Parliamentary relations and enhancing mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries.

Speaker Mutti commissions 750 KILOWATT solar plant at Parliament

The Right Honourable Dr. Nelly B K Mutti, SC, MP, FAPRA, Speaker of the National Assembly of Zambia, on Friday, 15th May,2026, commissioned the  750 KW Sola photovoltaic plant at Parliament Buildings.

This project is aimed at reducing dependence on the national grid and foster a greener and more sustainable development.

Speaker Mutti said the project shows Parliament’s practical commitment to national development priorities.

Speaker Mutti commends UN efforts to combat genocide linked to hate speech and misinformation

The Speaker of the National Assembly of Zambia, Rt Hon Dr Nelly B.K. Mutti, SC, MP, FAPRA, has commended the United Nations for its continued efforts to address the growing global threat of genocide, particularly as it relates to the spread of hate speech and misinformation.

Speaker Mutti made these remarks during a courtesy call at her office by the United Nations Under-Secretary-General and Special Adviser on the Prevention of Genocide, Professor Chaloka Beyani, on Wednesday, 29th April 2026, at Parliament Buildings in Lusaka.
