Speaker of the National Assembly, the Rt Honourable Ms Nelly B K Mutti, SC, MP, FAPRA, has said that the continued cordial relations shared between India and Zambia are essential in maximising initiatives to enhance skills development among Members of Parliament (MPs) and staff.

She said this when the Indian High Commissioner to Zambia, His Excellency Mr Shri Alok Ranjan Jha paid a courtesy call on her, on Wednesday, 17^th December, 2025 at Parliament Buildings.

Speaker of the National Assembly of Zambia, the Right Honourable Ms.Nelly B.K. Mutti, SC, MP, FAPRA, has donated assorted items to female inmates and  circumstantial children at Lusaka Central Correctional Centre (Chimbokaila), as part of the National Assembly’s commemoration of the recently held Sixteen (16) Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence.

The Zambia Parliamentary Caucus on Energy, Mining and Mineral Resources was officially launched at the National Assembly, Parliament Buildings, on Thursday, 11^th December 2025. The Southern African Development Community, Parliamentary Forum (SADC-PF), 58^th  Plenary Assembly Session has commenced in Durban, South Africa with a call for greater regional cooperation, improved data systems and stronger accountability mechanisms to address the impact of climate change.

The SADC Regional Parliaments have assembled in South Africa for the Plenary Assembly Session which is being held under the theme: “The Impact of Climate Change on Women and Youth in the SADC Region and the Role of Parliaments in Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation.”
