Speaker of the National Assembly, the Rt Honourable Ms Nelly B K Mutti, SC, MP, FAPRA, has said that the continued cordial relations shared between India and Zambia are essential in maximising initiatives to enhance skills development among Members of Parliament (MPs) and staff.

She said this when the Indian High Commissioner to Zambia, His Excellency Mr Shri Alok Ranjan Jha paid a courtesy call on her, on Wednesday, 17^th December, 2025 at Parliament Buildings.

She said this when Burundi’s Ambassador to Zambia, Evelyne Butoyi paid a courtesy call on her on Monday, 2^nd December, 2024 at Parliament Buildings.

The Chairperson of the Committee on Local Governance, Housing and Chiefs Affairs, Hon Maxwell Kabanda, MP, officially opened a two-day’s workshop which was held from 26^th to 27^th January at Protea Hotel Lusaka Tower, Lusaka. This workshop was organized by the European Union Support to the National Assembly Project team as one of their key interventions to enhance the capacity of four selected Committees of Parliament in the area of Public Finance Management.
