NATIONAL ASSEMBLY SIGNS MoU WITH WORLD VISION ZAMBIA, AIMED AT ENHANCING SERVICE DELIVERY

The National Assembly has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with World Vision Zambia, aimed at strengthening collaboration and enhancing service delivery, particularly in areas affecting vulnerable communities. The MoU was signed today, Monday, 21st July, 2025, at Parliament Buildings.

The National Assembly of Zambia held a combined ceremony at Parliament Buildings to honor outstanding members of staff for their dedication, hard work and professionalism, as part of the 2025 Labour Day and the inaugural Parliament Day commemorations. The event, which took place on Monday, 21st July 2025, was celebrated under the national theme, “Shaping Zambia’s Future of Work Through HomeGrown Solutions for Inclusive Economic Growth,” highlighting the institution’s commitment to recognising excellence and promoting inclusive workplace development.

Speaker of the National Assembly of Zambia, Rt. Hon. Nelly B K Mutti, SC, FAPRA, MP has hailed the Republic of Türkiye as a vital contributor to global trade and sustainable development, the speaker said during a courtesy call by the Ambassador of Türkiye to Zambia, His Excellency Mr. Huseyin Barbaros Dicle, at Parliament Buildings on Monday, 14th July, 2025.

National Assembly scoops first prize at the 25th Inter Company Relay

The National Assembly secured first place in the Directors’ Race category during the 25th Inter-Company Relay (ICR), held on Saturday, 12th July 2025, at the Lusaka Showgrounds. The event brought together various institutions and companies in a spirited display of teamwork and athleticism.

At the same event, the Acting Clerk of the National Assembly, Mrs. Loveness M. Mayaka, joined a group of selected staff members in participating in the 5km Health Walk, promoting wellness and active living among employees.

PARLIAMENT WELCOMES NEW MEMBER FOLLOWING LUMEZI BY-ELECTION VICTORY.

The National Assembly of Zambia on the 2nd July 2025, has welcomed its newest Member of Parliament following a successful by-election held in Lumezi Constituency . Hon. Lufeyo Ngoma, representing the UPND, was officially sworn in during the parliamentary proceedings  at parliament buildings presided over by the Speaker of the National Assembly, Rt. Hon. Nelly B. K. Mutti .

Speaker of the National Assembly of Zambia, Rt. Hon. Nelly B K Mutti, SC, MP, FAPRA on the 17th June 2025, signed the Book of Condolences in honor of the late President of the Republic of Zambia, His Excellency Mr. Edgar Chagwa Lungu at Belvedere Lodge.

The Speaker expressed deep sorrow at the passing of Zambia’s esteemed sixth President, describing him as “a trusted colleague, a revered national leader, and a dear friend.”
