The National Assembly of Zambia on the 2nd July 2025, has welcomed its newest Member of Parliament following a successful by-election held in Lumezi Constituency . Hon. Lufeyo Ngoma, representing the UPND, was officially sworn in during the parliamentary proceedings at parliament buildings presided over by the Speaker of the National Assembly, Rt. Hon. Nelly B. K. Mutti .
Hon. Ngoma, who replaces the former area member of parliament Mr Munire Zulu, took the oath of allegiance and pledged to uphold, preserve, protect the Constitution of Zambia as by law established and serve the people of Lumezi with dedication and integrity.
The newly sworn-in Member is expected to join the committee on National Guidance and Gender matters and participate actively in debates and legislative processes aimed at advancing the national agenda.
