Speaker Mutti Signs Book of Condolences, Urges Nation to Uphold Peace and Harmony in Honour of Late President Edger Chagwa Lungu

Speaker of the National Assembly of Zambia, Rt. Hon. Nelly B K Mutti, SC, MP, FAPRA on the 17th June 2025, signed the Book of Condolences in honor of the late President of the Republic of Zambia, His Excellency Mr. Edgar Chagwa Lungu at Belvedere Lodge.

The Speaker expressed deep sorrow at the passing of Zambia’s esteemed sixth President, describing him as “a trusted colleague, a revered national leader, and a dear friend.” 

“As we mourn his departure, we also celebrate the profound legacy he leaves behind and the leadership, wisdom, and firm belief in national unity.” Speaker Mutti said.

She called upon all Zambians to honor the late President’s memory by upholding the peace and harmony he so dearly valued.

The Speaker extended heartfelt condolences to the late President’s family, friends, and all who were touched by his life and leadership. “His contribution to our nation will forever remain etched in our hearts,” she said.
