WHO Delegation Engages Speaker Mutti on Strengthening Zambia’s Health Security and Legislative Framework

The Speaker of the National Assembly, Rt Hon Dr Nelly B K Mutti, SC., MP, FAPRA has reaffirmed Parliament’s commitment to advancing Zambia’s public health agenda following a high-level consultative meeting with a delegation from the World Health Organization (WHO) led by the Country Representative to Zambia Dr Clement Peter Lasuba.

As part of the visit, Hon. Chisangano paid a courtesy call on her counterpart, Hon. Daniel Baran Sillo, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Tanzania, on Monday, 2ndFebruary, 2026. The engagement emphasised the strong and long-standing parliamentary relations between Zambia and Tanzania.

Speaker Mutti confers with Shri Om Birla, Speaker of Indian Parliament

The Right Honourable Dr. Nelly Butete Kashumba Mutti, SC., MP, FAPRA, Speaker of the National Assembly of Zambia, met with the Speaker of the Indian Parliament (Lok Sabha), Shri Om Birla on the sidelines of the 28th Conference of Speakers and Presiding Officers of the Commonwealth (CSPOC).

Zambia, India confer on enhancing skills of Parliamentarians through partnerships

Speaker of the National Assembly, the Rt Honourable Ms Nelly B K Mutti, SC, MP, FAPRA, has said that the continued cordial relations shared between India and Zambia are essential in maximising initiatives to enhance skills development among Members of Parliament (MPs) and staff.

She said this when the Indian High Commissioner to Zambia, His Excellency Mr Shri Alok Ranjan Jha paid a courtesy call on her, on Wednesday, 17th December, 2025 at Parliament Buildings.
