PRESIDENT HAKAINDE HICHILEMA ADDRESSES PARLIAMENT

The President of the Republic of Zambia, Mr Hakainde Hichilema addressed Parliament on the progress made in the application of National Values and Principles on Friday, 24th February, 2023.

MADAM FIRST DEPUTY SPEAKER AT THE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON WOMEN’S TRANSFORMATIONAL LEADERSHIP

The First Deputy Speaker, Hon. Malungo A. Chisangano, attended the International Conference on Women’s Transformational Leadership, that was held from 13th February, 2022, to 15th February, 2022 in Juba, South Sudan. The conference was held under the umbrella theme of, “Transformational Leadership in Women, Peace and Security.”

Second Deputy Speaker Moyo visits the Parliament of Trinidad and Tobago

The Second Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Zambia, Honourable  Moses Frank Moyo, MP, visited the Parliament of  Trinidad and Tobago for an orientation study visit from  30th January to 3rd February, 2023.

PARLIAMENTARY DELEGATION FROM ZAMBIA HOLD TALKS WITH THE VICE PRESIDENT OF INDIA

A Parliamentary delegation from Zambia led by Rt. Hon Nelly Butete Kashumba Mutti called on the Vice President of India, Hon. Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar, yesterday, February 3, 2023.

In welcoming the Zambian delegation, Hon. Shri Dhankhar said the team had visited India at a perfect time when it the country was not only celebrating 75 years of independence but economic emancipation as well. 

SPEAKER MUTTI CALLS FOR THE REVIVAL OF TRAINING AND CAPACITY BUILDING AMONG ZAMBIAN PARLIAMENTARIANS

Speaker of the National Assembly, Rt. Honourable Nelly B K Mutti, MP says there is need to revive training and capacity building among Zambian Parliamentarians to ensure they are abreast with best practices and procedures for the smooth running of the House.

SUNCOL EYES ZAMBIA ON FUTURISTIC SOLAR INVESTMENT

SUNCOL Chief Executive Officer, Mr Gazmend Luzi said Zambia has a favourable climate for renewable energy exploitation with potential for a futuristic Green Energy solar investment.  He added that investments in solar energy could ameliorate some of the energy challenges that the country is facing and reduce overreliance on hydropower.

ZAMBIAN PARLIAMENT INDEBTED TO CANADA FOR IT’S SUPPORT

Speaker of the National Assembly the Rt Hon Ms. Nelly B K Mutti, says the Zambian Parliament is indebted to Canada for the support received on the implementation of the Parliamentary Reforms Programme.

Speaking when she met the Head of Office, Counsellor and Consul at the Office of the High Commission of Canada, Ms Jennifer Hill, on Tuesday 24th January, 2023 at Parliament Buildings in Lusaka, Hon Mutti stated that the Reform programme was to realign the functions of Parliament with demands of plural politics.
