JEAN KHOJI NGUVULU, NEW CHAIRPERSON OF SADC-PF COMMITTEE OF CLERKS/SECRETARIES GENERAL

The SADC Parliamentary Forum Committee of Clerks/Secretaries General of Parliaments has appointed the Secretary General of the National Assembly of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Mr Jean Khoji Nguvulu as its new Chairperson.

COP27 ADOPTS HISTORIC RESOLUTION ON CLIMATE LOSS AND DAMAGE

Following extensive negotiations at the Twenty–Seventh Session of the Conference of Parties of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP27), held from 6th to 18th November, 2022, in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, nearly 200 countries have agreed on a set of key outcomes, including the establishment of a fund to address loss and damage due to climate change.

Princess Kasune says gender equality remains a key priority in the region through the promotion of good, inclusive governance and accountability.

Zambia’s Delegation to the 61st OACPS and 42nd ACP-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly Supports Multilateralism

The Organisation of the African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS) and the African, Caribbean and Pacific States and the European Union Joint Parliamentary Assembly (ACP-EU JPA), successfully held the 61st and 42nd Sessions, respectively, in Maputo, Mozambique, from 25th October to 2nd November, 2022. The ACP-EU JPA was officially opened by His Excellency Eng. Filipe Jacinto Nyusi, President of the Republic of Mozambique.
