The National Assembly of Zambia has called on Parliamentary Liaison Officers from various government ministries and departments to strengthen collaboration with Parliament in an effort to improve on the handling of parliamentary questions.

The National Assembly of Zambia organised a two-day joint capacity building and training workshop for staff in the Committee Department; Parliamentary Budget Office; and Journals and Table Office, from 30^th May to 2^ndJune, 2025, at the Savee Beach Resort in Siavonga. The training was in line with objective 1.2 of the National Assembly of Zambia Strategic Plan (2022-2026), on enhancing the capacity of members of staff to effectively support Members of Parliament through enhancing knowledge levels and creating collaborative partnerships.

The Young Women’s Christian Association (YWCA) has called on Members of Parliament, especially those representing rural constituencies, to play a proactive role in addressing the growing challenge of early child pregnancies among girls aged 10 to 14, an issue that continues to affect the lives and futures of young girls across Zambia.
