Speaker of the National Assembly of Zambia, The Rt. Hon Ms Nelly B K Mutti, MP has pledged to enhance the longstanding relationship between the Parliaments of Zambia and India.  

PARLIAMENTARY CAUCUS ON LITERACY CONFER WITH SPEAKER MUTTI

On Tuesday, 16th November, 2022, the Parliamentary Caucus on Literacy (PCL) Executive Members led by Mr Mulenga Fube, MP paid a courtesy call on the Speaker of the National Assembly of Zambia, The Rt. Hon Ms Nelly B K Mutti, MP at Parliament Buildings to formally enlighten her on the formation and objectives of the newly established Caucus.

ANGOLA, ZAMBIA TO ENHANCE BILATERAL RELATIONS

Angolan Ambassador to Zambia, His Excellency, Mr. Azevedo Xavier Francisco says there is need to enhance the existing trade and economic relations between Zambia and Angola through increased trade of grain and other commodities.


He said this when he paid a courtesy call on the Speaker of the National Assembly, the Rt Honourable Ms. Nelly B K Mutti, MP on Monday 14th November, 2022 at Parliament Buildings.

GENDER EQUALITY KEY IN THE SADC REGION, KASUNE

Zambia’s representative to the Southern African Development Community-Parliamentary Forum (SADC-PF) Regional Women Parliamentary Caucus and Chairperson of the National Women’s Parliamentary Caucus in the country Hon. Princess Kasune says gender equality remains a key priority in the region through the promotion of good, inclusive governance and accountability.

Zambia’s deputy delegation leader to the Pan Africa Parliament (PAP) Miriam Chonya says it is important for African countries to share experiences and find common solutions to challenges facing them.

Speaking on the side-lines of the First Ordinary Session of this 6th Parliament of Pan African Parliament officially which opened on Monday in South Africa and runs until 11th November, 2022, Ms. Chonya says Zambia has a lot to learn from PAP on what other countries are doing in enhancing parliamentary democracy.

Zambia’s Delegation to the 61st OACPS and 42nd ACP-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly Supports Multilateralism

The Organisation of the African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS) and the African, Caribbean and Pacific States and the European Union Joint Parliamentary Assembly (ACP-EU JPA), successfully held the 61st and 42nd Sessions, respectively, in Maputo, Mozambique, from 25th October to 2nd November, 2022. The ACP-EU JPA was officially opened by His Excellency Eng. Filipe Jacinto Nyusi, President of the Republic of Mozambique.

Ghanaian Minority Whips Benchmark the Zambian Parliament

The First Deputy Minority Whip Honourable Ibrahim Ahmed, MP and the Second Deputy Minority Whip, Honourable Comfort Cudjoe Ghansah Doyoe, MP from the Parliament of Ghana are undertaking a benchmarking study visit of the Zambian Parliament to, among other things, learn best practices in the Whipping system of the Zambian Parliament and the role of the Party Whips in maintaining discipline among Members of Parliament.

First Deputy Speaker, Chisangano dates Feira and Rufunsa Constituencies

The First Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Hon. Malungo Chisangano, MP on Monday, 31 st October, 2022 toured Feria and Rufunsa Constituency offices on a familiarization mission and to further carry out the implementation of the Tree Planting Campaign, launched by the Speaker of the National Assembly Rt.
