Hon Chisangano Urges Parents to Foster Conducive Environments for Child Development

First Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Zambia, Honourable Malungo Chisangano has urged parents to support and nurture children under conducive domestic environments.

Speaking when she officially opened the National Dialogue on Childcare, held under the theme “Investment in the early years: A Strategic Action for Human Capital Development,” Hon, Chisangano said that such environments are important for raising responsible children who can contribute effectively towards the country’s development.

National Council of Student Unions Commends National Assembly’s Public Participation Initiative

The First Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, Hon. Malungo Chisangano (MP), said the National Assembly has come up with various reforms and initiatives to enhance participation of the public and youths. She said the efforts aim to empower youths to become more engaged with the institution’s activities and decision-making process.

As we celebrate this remarkable journey of our nation towards freedom, we reflect on the sacrifices of our leaders and forefathers who were involved in the struggle to attain independence. The Rt Hon Ms Nelly B K Mutti, SC, MP, FAPRA, Speaker of the National Assembly of Zambia, joined the Zambian community in Switzerland in celebrating the 60th Independence Anniversary of the Republic of Zambia, which was held on Saturday, 19th October, 2024, at the Zambian Ambassador’s Residence in  Geneva.

CLERK OF THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY OF ZAMBIA ELECTED TO SoCATT AFRICA STEERING COMMITTEE

The Clerk of the National Assembly of Zambia, Mr. Roy Ngulube has been elected to serve on the Steering Committee of the Society of Clerks-At-The-Table (SoCATT) Africa Region as the Central Sub-Region Representative from 2024 to 2027.

Mr. Ngulube was elected at the 2024 SoCATT Annual General Meeting (AGM) that was conducted alongside the 53rd Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) Conference and AGM held from 29th September to 7th October, 2024 in Arusha, Tanzania.

Speaker Mutti confers with new Algerian Ambassador to Zambia

The Speaker of the National Assembly of Zambia, Honourable Nelly Butete Kashumba Mutti, SC, MP, FAPRA and Algeria’s Ambassador to Zambia, Mr. Tewfik Mahi have expressed commitment to strengthen relations of the two countries through Parliamentary diplomacy.

Speaking when the new Algerian Ambassador to Zambia paid a courtesy call on her office on 7th October 2024, Speaker Mutti acknowledged the cordial relations between Zambia and Algeria.
