The National Road Fund (Amendment) Bill, 2025

 The object of this Bill is to amend the National Road Fund Act, 2002, so as to —

(a) provide for immunity of the Agency or property of the Agency from execution, attachment or other proceedings arising from a judgment or order of a court; and

(b) provide for matters connected with, or incidental, to the foregoing

The Closed-Circuit Television Public Protection Bill, 2025

 The objects of this Bill are to—

(a) provide the functions of the National Public Security Command Centre;

(b) constitute the National Public Security Command Committee and provide for its functions;

(c) provide for the regulation of closed-circuit television and mobile closed-circuit television;

(d) provide an effective system for the use of closed-circuit television and mobile closed-circuit television;

(e) provide for the protection of data collected through closed circuit television and mobile closed-circuit television;

The Border Management and Trade Facilitation Bill, 2025

The objects of this Bill are to—

(a) provide for co-ordinated border management and control for the efficient movement and clearance of goods;

(b) give effect to the provisions of agreements relating to one stop border posts;

(c) provide for simplified trading arrangements with adjoining States relating to the movement and clearance of goods;

(d) establish control zones and provide for powers of officers in control zones;

(e) provide for the development, management and maintenance of border

infrastructure;

Speaker Mutti Encourages Female MPs to Utilise Constituency Offices

The Speaker of the National Assembly of Zambia, Rt. Hon Ms. Nelly B. K. Mutti, SC., MP, FAPRA, has called on female Members of Parliament (MPs) to make full use of Constituency Offices as a means of bringing Parliament closer to the people.

Speaking during a meeting with all female Members of Parliament (MP) on Wednesday, 26th March, 2025, at Parliament Buildings in Lusaka. Speaker Mutti emphasised that the National Assembly of Zambia is the most decentralized institution in the country, with Constituency Offices serving as critical access points for citizen engagement.

Matero Constituency Boosted with New Tipper Truck Through CDF

Matero Constituency received a tipper truck on Thursday 16th Febraury, 2025, worth over K2,5 million procured under Constituency Development Funds (CDF). The truck purposed for garbage collection has come as a response to alleviate the area from poor garbage disposal practices and clogged drainages during the rainy season which pose as a health hazard.
