Suspend Standing Orders: That Standing Orders 27 and 123 be suspended to enable the House to complete all Business on the Order Paper and all matters arising therefrom and also to consider more than one stage of a Bill, on Friday, 28th March, 2025 and on such completion, the House adjourns sine die.

6. QUESTIONS FOR ORAL ANSWER (STANDING ORDER 82)
 
 
272. Ms.Sefulo (Mwandi) - to ask the Minister of Water Development and Sanitation:
 
(a) whether the Government is aware that the Western Water and Sewerage Company has been supplying residents of Mwandi District with untreated water from the Zambezi River, thereby posing a threat of an outbreak of waterborne diseases; and 
 
(b) if so, what urgent measures are being taken to ensure that only treated water is supplied to the residents.
 
 
273 Mr Mutinta (Itezhi-Tezhi) - to ask the Minister of Transport and Logistics:
 
(a) what urgent measures the Government is taking to avert fatal road traffic accidents involving pedestrians along the Great East Road, at the University of Zambia in Lusaka District between the main entrance and the foot bridge;  
 
(b) whether an assessment was conducted to evaluate the convenience of the foot bridge to pedestrians crossing the Road along the stretch above; and
 
(c) if so, what factors have contributed to the continued avoidance of the foot bridge by pedestrians crossing the Road along the stretch.
 
 
274 Mr Emmanuel Banda (Muchinga) - to ask the Minister of Agriculture:
 
(a) whether the Government has any plans to open new marketing points during the 2025 Crop Marketing Season in the following areas in Muchinga Parliamentary Constituency, to prevent the harvested maize from going to waste due to the long distances to the nearest depots:
 
(i) Mukopa in Chibale Ward;
ii) Masase in Chieftainess Serenje Ward; 
(iii) Kalumbu in Mwenshe Ward; and
(iv) Nambo in Sancha Ward; and
 
(b) if so, when the marketing points will be opened, considering that the marketing season is about to open.”

Adopt Report of the Committee on National Economy, Trade and Labour Matters on the Ratification of the Membership to the Africa50 Fund Articles of Association for Project Development and Finance:  That this House adopts the Report of the Committee on National Economy, Trade and Labour Matters on the Ratification of the Membership to the Africa50 Fund Articles of Association for Project Development and Finance, for the Fourth Session of the Thirteenth National Assembly, laid on the Table of the House on Friday, 21st March, 2025.

Facilitate the Amendment of the Local Government Act:  That, in order to provide for the payment of allowances to members of the Ward Development Committees, this House urges the Government to facilitate the amendment of the Local Government Act No. 2 of 2019.
