THE STATUS OF MINING TAXATION

The Minister of Finance and National Planning (Dr Musokotwane): Mr Speaker, I wish to thank you for according me this opportunity to brief the House and the nation at large on the status of mining taxation.

Investment Act

An Act to revise the law relating to Investment in Zambia so as to provide a

comprehensive legal framework for investment in Zambia; to repeal the

Investment Act, 1991; and to provide for matters connected with or incidental

to the foregoing.

Development Bond Act

An Act to empower the Minister to raise loans by the issue and sale of bonds within

the Republic.
