Speaker of the National Assembly, Dr Patrick Matibini, SC, MP has called on Members of Parliament to embrace the ideals and principles of the Inter- Parliamentary Union (IPU) which include safeguarding peace and driving positive democratic change through political dialogue and concrete action.

On Saturday 16^th June, 2018, parliamentarians joined the rest of the country in bidding farewell to Hon. Victoria Kalima who died at Maina Soko Hospital on Monday 11^th June, 2018. MPs from both the ruling party and the opposition turned up in numbers during the burial ceremony of the late Minister of Gender who was put to rest at Leopards Hill Memorial Park.
