The Hon Speaker signs a book of condolences for the late Hon. Victoria Kalima

The Hon Speaker signed a book of condolences on Wednesday 14th June 2018 at the funeral house of the late Victoria Kalima, former Minister of Gender and Member of Parliament for Kasenengwa Constituency in Eastern Province.

Parliament Bids Farewell to Late Hon. Victoria Kalima

On Saturday 16th June, 2018, parliamentarians joined the rest of the country in bidding farewell to Hon. Victoria Kalima who died at Maina Soko Hospital on Monday 11th June, 2018. MPs from both the ruling party and the opposition turned up in numbers during the burial ceremony of the late Minister of Gender who was put to rest at Leopards Hill Memorial Park.

The Public-Private Partnership (Amendment) Bill, 2018

The object of this Bill is to amend the Public-Private Partnership

Act, 2009, so as to—

(a) revise the functions of the Public-Private PartnershipUnit

in the Department of the ministry responsible for

finance;

(b) revise the functions of the Public-Private Partnership

Council; and

(c) provide for matters connected with, or incidental to, the

foregoing.

The Credit Reporting Bill, 2018

The objects of this Bill are to provide for—

 

(a)    the regulation of credit reporting agencies by the Bank of Zambia;

 

(b)    the licensing of credit reporting agencies;

 

(c)    the establishment  of a  Credit Registry;

 

(d)    the governance and management of credit reporting agencies;

 

(e)    the protection of data subjects;
