The Citizens Economic Empowerment (Amendment) Bill, 2026

The object of this Bill is to amend the Citizens Economic
Empowerment Act, so as to —
(a) revise the composition of the Citizens Economic
Empowerment Commission; and
(b) provide for matters connected with, or incidental to, the
foregoing.

The National HIV/AIDS/STI/TB Council (Amendment) Bill ,2026

The object of this Bill is to amend the National HIV/AIDS/STI/
TB Council Act, so as to—
(a) revise the composition of the National HIV/AIDS/STI/
TB Council; and
(b) provide for matters connected with, or incidental to, the
foregoing.

The Biosafety (Amendment) Bill, 2026

The object of this Bill is to amend the Biosafety Act, so as to —
(a) revise the composition of the National Biosafety Authority;
and
(b) provide for matters connected with, or incidental to, the
foregoing.

The Agricultural Lands (Amendment) Bill ,2026

The object of this Bill is to amend the Agricultural Lands Act so
as to —
(a) revise the composition of the Agricultural Lands Board;
and
(b) provide for matters connected with, or incidental to, the
foregoing.

The Food and Nutrition (Amendment) Bill, 2026

The object of this Bill is to amend the Food and Nutrition Act,
2020, so as to—
(a) Revise the composition of the Board of the National Food
and Nutrition Commission; and
(b) Provide for matters connected with, or incidental to, the
foregoing.

Speaker Mutti assures EU Observers of National Assembly’s openness to dialogue ahead of 2026 Elections

Speaker of the National Assembly of Zambia, Rt Hon. Dr. Nelly B K Mutti, SC, MP, FAPRA has assured the European Union Electoral Observation delegation of the National Assembly’s openness to constructive dialogue ahead of the 2026 General Elections.

She said this when the European Union Electoral Observation exploratory mission paid a courtesy call on her on Wednesday, 8th April, 2026, at Parliament Buildings in Lusaka.

The National Health Research and Training Institute (Amendment) Bill, 2026
