Two Zambian Parliamentarians attending the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) Regional Meeting on Climate Change have called for home-grown solutions to the climate crisis.

Members of Parliament participated in a training workshop on Sector Budget Analysis at the Lusaka International Convention Centre at Bonanza Estate, Lusaka on 23rd and 24th September, 2023.

The workshop aimed to enhance the capacity of Members of Parliament (MP) to effectively analyse and make informed decisions on the national budget, and heads of expenditure (sector budgets) particularly in the Ministries of health, education, and agriculture, among other sectors.

Speaker of the National Assembly of Zambia, the Right Honourable Nelly B.K Mutti, MP, FAPRA, awarded eleven Members of Parliament for their exceptional performance in Parliament and Constituency work, on Thursday, 14th September, 2023 at Parliament Buildings in Lusaka.

His Excellency the President Mr Hakainde Hichilema, President of the Republic of Zambia opened the Third Session of the Thirteenth National Assembly of Zambia.

In His Address to the nation, President Hichilema outlined his Government’s priorities for the coming year. Including economic recovery, improvement of health delivery services, poverty reduction and job creation among others. He also called for unity and cooperation among Zambians to ensure the country moves forward.
