The object of this Bill is to approve excess expenditure from the Consolidated Fund of monies required for the services of the Republic during the financial year ending on 31st December, 2020, in the excess of monies appropriated for the services of the Republic by the Appropriation Act, 2019, Supplementary Appropriation Act (2019) Act, 2019 and Supplementary Appropriation (2019) (No. 2) Act, 2019.

RULING BY THE HON MR SPEAKER ON A POINT OF ORDER RAISED BY MR J J MWIIMBU, LEADER OF THE OPPOSITION AND MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT FOR MONZE CENTRAL PARLIAMENTARY CONSTITUENCY ON WHY THE MEMBERS IN THE CHAMBER COULD NOT USE THE BOSCH COMMUNICATION SYSTEM INSTALLED IN THE CHAMBER WHENEVER THERE WERE TECHNICAL CHALLENGES WITH THE E-CHAMBER SYSTEM
The objects of this Bill are to—
-
(a) provide for the promotion of technological discovery and innovation;
-
(b) establish the Zambia Academy of Sciences and provide for its functions;
-
(c) provide for the investigation of matters of public interest relating to science and technology;
-
(d) provide for the promotion of research and its utilisation in the development of science and technology; and
The object of this Bill is to amend the Land (Perpetual Succession) Act, so as to—
(a) provide for the maintenance of records relating to beneficial ownership and due diligence in the registration of a trust; and
(b) provide for matters connected with, or incidental to, the foregoing.
