An Act to continue the existence of the Patents and Companies Registration Agency and re-define its functions; re-constitute the Board of the Agency and provide for its functions; repeal and replace the Patents and Companies Registration Agency Act, 2010; and provide for matters connected with, or incidental to the foregoing.

The Zambia National Public Health Institute Bill, 2020

to provide for the coordination of public health security; continue the existence of the Zambia National Public Health Institute and provide for its functions; establish the Public Health Emergency Operations Centre; establish the National Public Health Laboratory; establish the National Public Health emergency Fund; and provide for matters connected with, or incidental to, the foregoing.                            (N.A.B. 18/2020)

The Excess Expenditure Appropriation (2020) Bill, 2020

The object of this Bill is to approve excess expenditure from the Consolidated Fund of monies required for the services of the Republic during the financial year ending on 31st December, 2020, in the excess of monies appropriated for the services of the Republic by the Appropriation Act, 2019, Supplementary Appropriation Act (2019) Act, 2019 and Supplementary Appropriation (2019) (No. 2) Act, 2019.

The Zambia Academy of Sciences Bill, 2020

The objects of this Bill are to—

  1. (a)  provide for the promotion of technological discovery and innovation;

  2. (b)  establish the Zambia Academy of Sciences and provide for its functions;

  3. (c)  provide for the investigation of matters of public interest relating to science and technology;

  4. (d)  provide for the promotion of research and its utilisation in the development of science and technology; and

The Land (Perpetual Succession) (Amendment) Bill, 2020

The object of this Bill is to amend the Land (Perpetual Succession) Act, so as to—

(a) provide for the maintenance of records relating to beneficial ownership and due diligence in the registration of a trust; and

(b) provide for matters connected with, or incidental to, the foregoing.

The Extradition (Amendment) Bill, 2020

The object of this Bill is to amend the Extradition Act, so as to provide for measures for monitoring of a request made to a competent authority.
