Bujumbura, Burundi, August 15, 2016: The Executive Secretariat of the International Conference on the Great Lakes Region (ICGLR) learnt with great shock and dismay of the massacre of more than 30 Men, women and children carried out by the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF), an armed group operating in Beni, North Kivu, in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

Former Nigerian President, His Excellency Mr Good luck Jonathan and his Delegation visited the Hon Speaker of the National Assembly at Parliament Buildings on Tuesday 9th August, 2016. The former president is in the country as Leader of the Delegation for the Africa Union (AU) Election Observer Mission ahead of tomorrow’s general elections that will be held on 11th August, 2016. Speaking during the visit, the Rt Hon Justice Dr Patrick Matibini SC, MP, Speaker of the National Assembly, gave an  overview of the Zambian Parliament from its inception to date.
