STAY FOCUSED AND REMEMBER ZAMBIA NEEDS YOU, SPEAKER MUTTI TELLS ZAMBIANS IN KENYA

Speaker of the National Assembly of Zambia, The Right Honourable Nelly B K Mutti, MP has urged Zambians based in Kenya to remain focused on their studies and skill acquisition in order to meaningfully contribute to the development of their country, Zambia.

The Speaker said this when she met the members of the Association of Zambians Living in Kenya at the Zambian Chancery in Nairobi on Friday, 28th April, 2023.  Speaker Mutti implored the Zambians in Kenya to guard the opportunity of being in Kenya and remain disciplined in all aspects.  Honourable Mutti added that parents feel proud when their children based abroad return home with certificates of completion, a situation that demands commitment and discipline.

Equally, Honourable Mutti advised the Zambians working in Kenya to ensure that they invest back home and lookout for ideas that can enhance Zambia’s development.  Speaker Mutti called on all Zambians based home and in the diaspora to share ideas in developing mother Zambia.  She noted that despite the challenges the country was going through, there was hope that the challenges would be mitigated because the leadership remained focused to restore the economy of the country.

She encouraged the Zambians based in Kenya to maintain communication with the Zambia High Commission and be connected to the happenings back home. 

After the meeting, the Speaker took time to chat and take photos with the thrilled Zambians based in Kenya.
