CLERK OF THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY OF ZAMBIA SIGNS MOU WITH FORMER PARLIAMENTARIANS.

Clerk of the National Assembly of Zambia, Mr Roy Ngulube, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Former Parliamentarians Association of Zambia (FPAZ) and the National Assembly of Zambia, the MOU is aimed at enhancing Parliamentary oversight by enabling Former MPs make submissions on the Parliamentary Committees as witnesses where need arises and among others having meetings with the international bodies, associations and caucuses.

Mr Ngulube signed the MoU today on Friday, 3rd May, 2024, in Lusaka, at Parliament Buildings.

 The Clerk said the signing of the MOU marks the beginning of the collaboration between Former and current Members of Parliament. The MOU is therefore, the exclusive purpose of enhancing the welfare of former Members of Parliament by identifying and strengthening areas of collaboration and harmonising working relationships with the sitting Members of Parliament to foster National Development and to formalise the working relationship between the parties.

Speaking at the same function the President for FPAZ, who is Former Member of Parliament for Nakonde Mr Yisukanji Siwanzi and spoke on behalf of the Former Parliamentarians Association of Zambia (FPAZ), Mr Siwanzi expressed his sincere gratitude to the Clerk of the National Assembly of Zambia for facilitating the Historic signing of the (MOU).
