The Public Service Pensions Bill, 2026

The objects of this Bill are to— (a) continue the existence of the Public Service Pensions Fund Board, re name it as the Public Service Pensions Fund and re define its functions; (b) re-constitute the Board of the re named Public Service Pensions Fund and re-define its functions; (c) continue the existence of the membership, contribution and benefit structure under the public service pensions fund and name it as the Public Service Pensions Scheme; (d) establish the Occupational Pensions Scheme; (e) continue the existence of the public service pensions fund, in relation to its property compo

The Petroleum Development and Management Bill,2026

The objects of this Bill are to—
(a) provide for the management of the importation, exportation,
transportation, distribution, retail, wholesale marketing
and storage of a petroleum product;
(b) establish the Uniform Petroleum Pricing Fund;
(c) repeal and replace the Petroleum Act,1930; and
(d) provide for matters connected with, or incidental to, the
foregoing.

The Local Authorities Superannuation Bill, 2026

The objects of this Bill are to—
(a) continue the existence of the Board of the Local Authorities
Superannuation Fund, re-name it as the Local Authorities
Superannuation Fund and re-define its functions;
(b) re-constitute the Board of the re-named Local Authorities
Superannuation Fund and re-define its functions;
(c) continue the existence of the membership, contributions
and benefits structure under the local authorities
superannuation fund and re-name it as the
Superannuation Scheme;

The National Assembly (Speaker’s Retirement Benefits) Bill, 2026

The objects of this Bill are to—
(a) provide for the retirement benefits of a former Speaker
of the National Assembly;
(b) repeal and replace the National Assembly Speaker’s
Retirement Benefits Act, 1997; and
(c) provide for matters connected with, or incidental to, the
foregoing.

The Public Holidays (Amendment) Bill,2026

The object of this Bill is to amend the Public Holidays Act so as to
remove the observance of a Monday as a public holiday on the
day following a public holiday falling on a Sunday.

The Local Government (Amendment) Bill, 2026

The object of this Bill is to amend the Local Government Act, so
as to—
(a) extent the civic dutities and responsibilities of a councillor
to a member of a council; and
(b) Provide for matters connected with, or incidental to, the
foregoing.

The Penal Code (Amendment) Bill, 2026

The object of this Bill is to amend the Penal Code Act, so as to—
(a) revise the penalty relating to the offence of theft of stock;
and
(b) provide for matters connected with, or incidental to, the
foregoing.
