Originally built in 1979 on a spacious, tranquil spot on Nangwenya road in the quiet residential area of Longacres, the Motel was meant to cater for Members of Parliament when Parliament was in Session. The Motel has now extended its services to the public when Parliament is in recess. It has since grown into a complex of one hundred and four rooms (104), with a 90 seat restaurant, internet café, self contained double rooms with modern amenities provided including DSTV, refrigerators in all the rooms, as well as tea making facilities in the executive rooms.
