The Vice-President (Dr Scott): Mr Speaker, I rise to give the House an idea of the business it will consider next week, as you have ordered me. 

Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act

An Act to provide for the prevention of cruelty to animals; to specify acts and

omissions which amount tocruelty and penalties therefor; to prescribe the

powers of police officers; and to provide for matters incidental thereto.

Brands Act

An Act to provide for the registration of brands; to provide for a Registrar of Brands

and Deputy Registrars; and to provide for matters incidental thereto.

Veterinary Surgeons Act

An Act to provide for the registration of veterinary surgeons; to provide for the

regulation of the practice of the profession of veterinary surgery and

medicine; and to provide for matters incidental to the foregoing.
