The Employment Code Bill, 2019

The objects of this Bill are to—
(a) regulate the employment of persons;
(b) prohibit discrimination at an undertaking;
(c) constitute the Skills and Labour Advisory Committees and provide for
their functions;
(d) provide for the engagement of persons on contracts of employment
and provide for the form and enforcement of the contracts of
employment;
(e) provide for employment entitlements and other benefits;
(f) provide for the protection of wages of employees;
(g) provide for the registration of employment agencies;

The Mental Health Bill, 2019

The objects of this Bill are to— (a) provide for the promotion and protection of the rights of persons with mental illness, mental disorder, mental impairment or mental disability; (b) establish the National Mental Health Council and provide for its functions; (c) provide for mental health services in correctional facilities; (d) give effect to certain provisions of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, Principles for the protection of persons with mental illness and the improvement of mental care General Assembly Resolution 46/119 of 17th December, 1991

The Zambia Law Development Commission (Amendment) Bill, 2019

The object of this Bill is to amend the Zambia Law Development Commission Act so as to— (a) revise the composition of the Commission; (b) provide for the qualifications of the members of the Commission; (c) provide for the appointment of experts and assessors; and (d) provide for matters connected with, or incidental to, the foregoing.

The Electoral Commission of Zambia (Amendment) Bill, 2019

The object of this Bill is to amend the Electoral Commission of Zambia Act, 2016, so as to— (a) revise the functions of the Commission; (b)revise the qualifications of the members of the Commission; (c) revise the procedure for the removal of a member of the Commission; and (d) provide for matters connected with, or incidental to, the foregoing.

The Local Government Bill, 2019

The objects of this Bill are to— (a) provide for an integrated local government system; (b) give effect to the decentralisation of functions, responsibilities and services at all levels of local government; (c) ensure democratic participation in, and control of, decision making by the people at the local level; (d) revise the functions of local authorities; (e) provide for the review of tariffs, charges and fees within an area of a local authority; (f) provide for the proceedings of the council and committees; (g) provide for the role of traditional leadership in democratic governance; (h)
