Speaker Matibini Addresses the 133rd IPU Assembly in Geneva on Migration
Speaker of the National Assembly of Zambia, Rt. Hon Justice, Dr Patrick Matibini, SC, MP this afternoon, Sunday 18th October 2015, addressed the 133rd IPU Assembly and reiterated the need for development of fair and sustainable labour migration policies and practices, through dialogue amongst governments, Parliaments and Parliamentary bodies like the Inter Parliamentary Union (IPU).
Speaking when he addressed the Assembly which is being held under the theme: "The Moral and Economic Imperative for fairer, smarter and more humane migration." Hon Matibini stated that, Zambia has been host to refugees and migrants from surrounding States, particularly Angola and Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) owing to its relative peace and stability.
