Zambia will continue to Promote and Uphold Women's Rights in Leadership says First Deputy Speaker Chisangano

The First Deputy Speaker Hon. Malungo A. Chisangano, MP says Zambia will continue to promote and uphold women’s rights in leadership as they are key stakeholders in nation building in any democratic dispensation.

Speaking in Johannesburg, South Africa, where she is leading a delegation from Zambia at the Africa Liberal Network Women’s Leadership Programme, Hon. Chisangano, MP said women are the key decision makers in any nation and that the training will help every Member of Parliament to exchange and sharpen ideas on what must be done in making women count in decision making.

She said women in leadership are key decision makers that can help to contribute to the development of the country. Other Members of the Zambian delegation are Mwandi Constituency Member of Parliament, Mrs Sibeso Sefula Kakoma, MP and Kabwe Central Constituency Member of Parliament, Mrs Chrizoster Halwindi Phiri, MP.

The training has attracted participants from different countries including South Africa, Malawi, Kenya, Burkina Faso, Senegal Morocco and Zambia.
