The Electronic Communications and Transactions Bill, 2020

The objects of this Bill are to—

(a) provide a safe and effective environment for electronic transactions;

(b) promote secure electronic signatures;

(c) facilitate electronic filling of documents by public authorities;

(d) provide for the use, security, facilitation and regulation of electronic communications and transactions;

(e) promote legal certainty and confidence, and encourage investment and innovation in relation to electronic transactions;

MWAKALOMBE SPEAKS TREE PLANTING FOR A GREEN ENVIRONMENT

Chongwe Member of Parliament and Copperbelt Provincial Minister, Honourable Japhen Mwakalombe has called on Chongwe residents to ensure that they plant trees in order to protect the environment, human life and property.

Honourable Mwakalombe made the call during the tree planting exercise at Evergreen primary school in Kanakantapa ward in Chongwe.

A United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) two-member delegation from UNDP Brussels paid a courtesy call on the Clerk of the National Assembly, Mrs Cecilia N Mbewe on 11th December, 2020. The team was led by Mr Gianpiero Catozzi (Senior Electoral Advisor and Mission Leader) and accompanied by Ms Sare Knoope (Programme Analyst) both from Brussels, Mr Joram Rukambe (Senior Electoral Advisor and Project Manager) and Mr Scott Tembo (Monitoring and Evaluation, Knowledge Management Officer)  from UNDP Zambia.

STATUS OF THE REQUEST BY MR GARY G NKOMBO, MP TO MOVE A MOTION TO IMPEACH PRESIDENT EDGAR CHAGWA LUNGU

The National Assembly of Zambia has issued a statement to inform the general public, and the media on the status of the request by Mr Gary G Nkombo, MP to move a Motion to impeach President Edgar Chagwa Lungu, lodged in the Clerk’s Office on Thursday, 22nd March, 2018 by Mr Gary Nkombo, MP.

The Appropriation Bill, 2020

The object of this Bill is to authorise expenditure from the Consolidated Fund of monies required for the services of the Republic during the financial year ending on 31st December, 2021, not exceeding in the aggregate one hundred and nineteen billion, six hundred and sixteen million, eleven thousand, six hundred and fifteen kwacha.
