The Minerals Regulation Commission Bill, 2024

The objects of this Bill are to—

(a) regulate and monitor the development and management of mineral resources in the Republic;

(b) establish the Minerals Regulation Commission and provide for its functions;

(c) establish the Mining Appeals Tribunal;

(d) repeal and replace the Mines and Minerals Development Act, 2015; and

(e) provide for matters connected with, or incidental to, the foregoing.

RUSSIA, ZAMBIA TO ENHANCE BILATERAL TIES

The Russian Ambassador to Zambia, His Excellency, Mr Azim Yarakhmedo has reaffirmed Russia’s dedication to enhancing diplomatic collaboration with Zambia, highlighting the ongoing initiatives aimed at fortifying the relations between the two nations. He said this during a courtesy visit on the Speaker of the National Assembly of Zambia the Rt Hon Ms Nelly B.K Mutti, MP, FAPRA, on Monday, 19th February, 2024, at Parliament Buildings, where he led a delegation from the Russian Federation.
