MINISTERIAL STATEMENT

RESIDENT HUNTING

The Minister of Tourism and Arts (Mrs Masebo): Mr Speaker, I thank you for allowing me to present a ministerial statement to inform the House and the public on the topical subject of Resident Hunting in Zambia in view of the partial suspension. 

Preferential Claims in Bankruptcy Act

An Act to make provision with respect to preferential payments in bankruptcy; to give effect to the International Labour Conference Convention 173 Concerning the Protection of Workers' Claims in the event of the Insolvency of their Employer, Adopted by the Conference at its Seventy-ninth Session, at Geneva, on 23rd June, 1992, to which Zambia is a State Party; and to provide for matters connected with or incidential to the foregoing.

Bankruptcy Act

An Act to make provision for the administration in bankruptcy of the estates of debtors; to make provision for punishment of offences committed by debtors; to provide for reciprocity in bankruptcy proceedings between Zambia  and other countries; and to provide for matters incidental to and consequential upon the foregoing.

Judgements Act

An Act to provide for the payment of interest on judgment debts.
