SPEAKER MUTTI CHALLENGES NAZ FOOTBALL CLUB TO WORK HARDER

Speaker of the National Assembly of Zambia, the Rt. Honourable Nelly B K Mutti, MP has challenged the National Assembly Football Club to work extra hard in order to get back to the top flight of Zambian football. She added that owing to the fact that the club interacts with various communities across the country through league fixture fulfilment, it stood well positioned to be ambassadors of the institutional motto of “Taking Parliament Closer to the People”.

Speaking at Parliament Buildings on 14th February, 2022 when the Club’s Executive Committee led by the Chairperson, Mr Julius Musumali paid a courtesy call on her, Speaker Mutti acknowledged the fact that Zambia is a sports loving nation and as such football brings together people from different walks of life. She has since assured the club of her support as Club Patron.

During the same occasion, Mr Musumali expressed the Executive’s gratitude for the opportunity to share the club’s vision and experiences with the Club Patron.   The Executive Committee presented the Club’s replica Jersey   and extended an invitation for her to visit the teams’ training sessions and watch home games later in the season.

The National Assembly Football Club was established in 1995 and has in the past produced a good share of quality players that have raised the Zambian flag locally, regionally and overseas. Currently the main team is playing in the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) Lusaka Provincial league while the girls team is in the FAZ women Zone A Super league.  The Developmental side, Young NAZ FC is in the Lusaka Football Association Premier A league.
