QUESTIONS FOR ORAL ANSWER (STANDING ORDER 30)
32. Mr M Jere (Livingstone) - to ask the Minister of Tourism and Arts:
(a) what the value of the white rhinos that were killed on 26th February, 2020, by a motor vehicle along the Livingstone - Kazungula road in the Mosi-oa-Tonya National Park was;
(b) whether the rhinos were tagged with cameras for easy monitoring of their movements;
(c) whether the rhinos were insured;
(d) if the rhinos were not insured, why; and
(e) how many white rhinos there were in the Park as of 1st March, 2020.
33. Mr C Zulu (Luangeni) - to ask the Minister of Home Affairs:
(a) what the total number of shooting incidents involving police officers was, from 2017 to 2019, countrywide;
(b) what measures the Government is taking to reduce the number of such incidents;
(c) whether police officers are regularly assessed to determine their mental capacity to handle fire arms; and
(d) if they are not assessed, why.
34. Mr A Mumba (Kantanshi) - to ask the Minister of Housing and Infrastructure Development:
(a) what the total number of kilometres paved under the Pave Zambia 2000 Project was, as of July, 2020;
(b) what the total cost of procuring equipment for the project was;
(c) which areas of the country the equipment was distributed to;
(d) how many pavers were produced under the Project from 2013 to 2019, year by year; and
(e) how many jobs were created as of December, 2019.
35. Mr Mulusa (Solwezi Central) - to ask the Minister of Local Government:
(a) when construction of the 25 kilometres of township roads in Solwezi, which was commissioned by His Excellency the President, Mr Edgar Chagwa Lungu in 2015, will commence;
(b) what has caused the delay in commencing the project; and
(c) what the time frame for the completion of the project is.
QUESTIONS FOR WRITTEN ANSWER
W7. Mrs M L Phiri (Chilanga) - to ask the Minister of Local Government:
(a) in which newly created districts the Government was constructing the following infrastructure as of July, 2020:
(i) modern markets;
(ii) bus stations; and
(iii) staff houses;
(b) when construction of the infrastructure will commence in the rest of the newly created districts; and
(c) what the challenges in constructing the infrastructure are.
W8. Mr Lufuma (Kabompo) - to ask the Minister of Housing and Infrastructure Development:
(a) when the rehabilitation of feeder roads under the World Bank supported Improved Rural Connectivity Project will commence;
(b) which provinces have been earmarked for implementation of the Project;
(c) how many kilometres of roads are earmarked for rehabilitation, province by province;
(d) of the kilometers at (c), how many were allocated to Kabompo District;
(e) what the total funding for the Project is;
(f) whether the Government has any plans to rehabilitate feeder roads in the provinces not covered by the Project; and
(g) if so, when the plans will be implemented.
