Take advantage of the training to seal loopholes, Ngulube urges staff

Deputy Clerk of the National Assembly-Administration, Mr Roy Ngulube has urged Parliament Staff to seal all the loop holes that may pose as a potential hindrance to achieving the institution’s set objectives.   Mr Ngulube said this when he officially opened the Self Assessment training Workshop at Parliament Buildings on Wednesday, 20th February, 2019.

He noted that, following the in-depth review and successful domestication of both the 2008 and 2018 IPU Self-Assessment toolkits, the National Assembly has continued to achieve milestones under the Parliamentary Reforms and the many lessons that have been learnt so far.

In this regard, he expressed gratitude to the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Secretariat and the Parliament of Uganda for their technical and financial support.  He urged staff to take advantage of the training by raising matters of concern and consulting with the representative from the Inter Parliamentary Union (IPU) and colleagues from Uganda.

The self-assessment training for Parliament staff will run from Wednesday 20th February to Friday 22nd February, 2019.
