248    Mr Mwiimbu (Monze Central) - to ask the Minister of Finance:

(a)    why the retired public service workers have not been paid their terminal benefits for a long time; and

(b)    what measures are being taken to alleviate the suffering of the retirees.

249    Mr Miyutu (Kalabo Central) - to ask the Minister of Water Development, Sanitation and Environmental Protection:

(a)    why the Government issued the Water Resources Management (Charges and Fees) Regulations, 2018, Statutory Instrument No. 18;

(b)    whether the Government is aware that many people, especially in rural areas, cannot afford the prescribed fees and will be deprived of access to safe and clean water; and

(c)    if so, what measures have been taken to ensure that people have access to potable water.

250    Mr Kakubo (Kapiri Mposhi) - to ask the Minister of Youth, Sport and Child Development:

(a)    whether the Government is aware that the Football Association of Zambia has lost a number of court cases and is now liable to pay millions of kwacha in judgement debts;

(b)    why the Association has not paid its employees for the past two months;

(c)    when the employees will be paid; and

(d)    whether there are any measures being taken to assist the Association financially.

The Anti-Terrorism and Proliferation – Bill to prevent and prohibit the carrying out and terrorism financing and proliferation activities; provide for measures for the detection and prevention of terrorism and proliferation activities; provide for the continued existence of the National Anti-Terrorism Centre and redefine its functions; provide for the offences of proliferation and proliferation financing; domesticate the international conventions and treaties on anti-terrorism and proliferation; repeal the Anti-Terrorism Act, 2007; and provide for matters connected with, or incidental to, the foregoing.                                       (N.A.B. 4/2018)

The Minister of Communication and Transport

The Information and Communications Technology Association of Zambia – Bill to establish the Information and Communications Technology Association of Zambia and provide for its functions; provide for the registration of information and communications technology professionals and regulate their professional conduct in the interest of the information and communications technology sector; and provide for matters connected with, or incidental to, the foregoing.            (N.A.B. 5/2018)
