President of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR), His Excellency Mr Brahim Ghali paid a courtesy call on Speaker of the National Assembly, Hon Justice Dr Patrick Matibini, SC, MP, and at Parliament Buildings on Tuesday, 9^th January 2017.

Speaking during the meeting, Hon Justice Dr Patrick Matibini, SC, MP, expressed gratitude to His Excellency President Ghali for the rare privilege of a visiting President to pay a courtesy call on the Speaker. Dr Matibini was more elated that the discussions of the meeting were to forge parliamentary relations between the two countries. Dr Matibini said  that this would create a platform where the parliamentarians from the two countries would share their democratic experiences and also to learn from one another.

Meanwhile, President Brahim Ghali hailed the Zambian government for the role they played in the liberation struggle of Africa. President Brahim Ghali stated that his mission to the Zambian Parliament put in motion a channel that will a cement relations and strengthen relations between the two Parliaments.

 The Presidential entourage which included the Minister of Security, Minister of Foreign Affairs, President of Sahrawi Women’s League, Vice President of the Pan – African Parliament and the Minister of Cooperation, toured Parliament Buildings before bidding farewell to the Speaker.

President Brahim Ghali arrived in Zambia on Monday 9^th January 2017 for a three day state visit.
