International Youth Federation announcesKen PHIRI (Zambian) as Regional Director for Africa

Minsk, Belarus:  It is our pleasure to announce today thatMr. Ken PHIRI named as International Youth Federation Regional Director for Africa.

“Mr. Ken has the right skills and has come in the right place. He is results driven and I have no doubt that he will make a great contribution to our operations in Africa.”  Said Ms. Krystel SANEH, IYF President.

“We are delighted to welcome Mr. Ken on board to lead the expansion of the IYF’s presence in Africa, he have the utmost confidence that she will bring renewed energy and creative solutions to the African Region.” Said Ambassador Saeed ZAKI, Secretary General of The International Youth Federation.

“Being appointment as regional director for Africa, this is an exciting opportunity in Youth engagements, taking actions to create a position change, I am very much looking forward to the challenge and it gives me strength and courage to dedicate my life to the services of our continent Africa.” Said Mr. Ken PHIRI, Regional Director for Africa.

Mr. Ken is a self-motivated youth leader in Zambia committed to the improvement of the welfare of youths in Africa and across the globe. Adaptable and responsible youth activist, he have a methodical focused approach a strong drive to see things through to completion. Mr. Ken have been previously involved in youth empowerment programmes with a strong support of women and girls empowerment, as well as been involved in advocacy for better education of girls and boys of all class in Zambia.

He also had extensive contributions in the field of youth and community services, as he participated at youth empowerment programmes at national level, advocate for better education of girls and boys of all class in Zambia and he also lobbying the Government, Private Sector and Civil Society to improve the welfare of young boys and girls and the provision of shelter, clothes and food to street children mostly orphans.

Mr. Ken has been nominated by His Excellency Chibaula David Silwamba, The Permanent Mission of the Republic of Zambia to the United Nations, New York.
