The first Circuit Court Sessions to held in Ndola
The Tax Appeals Tribunal (formally Revenue Appeals Tribunal) is a statutory body created by Act No. 11 of 1998 as amended by Act No. 1 of 2015 to provide a specialized and speedy forum to resolve tax related disputes between Taxpayers and the Zambia Revenue Authority.
The institution will be holding its first circuit court sessions in the third week of October, 2015 at a venue to be announced in NDOLA. In this regard, TAT is receiving appeals in relation to Customs & Excise, Value Added Tax, Income Tax, Property Transfer Tax and any another disputes on tax matters to be received by the Secretariat no later than 23rd September, 2015.
The general public is encouraged to submit any tax disputes that they feel should be addressed.
The court sessions will be preceded by 2 Open Days at the Kafubu Mall on16th – 17th October, 2015 from 09:00 hours to 18:00 hours. This is to give a chance to the general public to get as much information about the Tax Appeals Tribunal as possible
