The Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) Executive Committee, on Wednesday 19th August, 2015, cancelled the 61st Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference (CPC) slated for Islamabad, Pakistan, from 29th September – 8th October, 2015.
This follows an emergency teleconference meeting of the Executive Committee convened to consider the Pakistan Branch’s refusal to invite the Jammu and Kashmir Branch to the conference.
The Executive Committee will meet in London, United Kingdom, from 1st to 5th October, 2015, to attend to the business that should have been considered by the General Assembly at the 61st CPC.
