Speaker Welcomes the Nigerian National Assembly Service Commission to Parley

The Rt Hon Justice Dr Patrick Matibini, SC, MP, Speaker of the National Assembly of Zambia welcomed Members of the Nigeria National Assembly Service Commission to the Zambian Parliament today, Wednesday 29th July, 2015 at National Assembly Buildings.
Speaking when Members of the Nigerian National Assembly Service Commission paid a courtesy call on him, the Rt Hon Justice Dr Matibini, SC, MP said that the visit to the Zambian Parliament was indeed a crucial springboard for development as both countries had been colonized by the British. He further stated that therefore, they could share experiences, best practices and challenges in promoting democracy.
And in response, Dr Paul Oredena Oweh, Member of the Commission and Leader of the Delegation said, the Delegation was honoured to learn the operations of the Zambian Legislature and hoped to implement some of the best practices learnt from Zambia.
Dr Oweh was accompanied by Alh Idi Adamu Ningi, Alh Abubakar Garba Tuta Rufai, Mrs Risikiti Oyebimpe Alabi, Members of the Commission and Abubakar Maaji Ahmed, Director at the Nigerian National Assembly Service Commission. The Clerk of the National Assembly of Zambia Mrs Doris Katai K Mwiinga was also in attendance during the meeting.
