Ms Moono Lubezhi, MP elected as CPA Zambia Branch Representative
Namwala Member of Parliament, Ms Moono Lubezhi, has been elected as the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) Zambia Branch Representative. Ms Lubezhi was unanimously elected at the CPA Zambia Branch Executive Committee meeting held at Parliament Buildings on Thursday, 25th June 2015.
The meeting was chaired by Rt. Hon Justice Dr Patrick Matibini, SC, MP, Speaker of the National Assembly of Zambia and Branch President of the CPA, and attended by Executive Committee Members who included Mr Brian Ntundu, MP, Hon Jean Kapata, MP, Minister of Tourism and Arts and Mr Steven Masumba, MP.
And speaking at the same meeting, Ms Moono Lubezhi, MP thanked the CPA Zambia Branch for the honour that was bestowed upon her and pledged to ably represent the Branch at CPA meetings when called upon.
The Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) Zambia Branch elects one Member of Parliament as its representative to the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association Africa Region for a period not exceeding 3 years. Until this year, the branch was represented by Hon Harry Kalaba, MP, Minister of Foreign Affairs.
