Speaker of the National Assembly of Zambia, the Right Honourable Nelly B. K Mutti, SC, MP, FAPRA has been awarded the Excellence Award by the Zambia Association of Women Judges (ZAWJ) in recognition of her achievements and the impact she has made as the first female Speaker.
This was during the Zambia Association of Women Judges (ZAWJ), Women’s Fundraising Dinner Dance and Award Ceremony held on Friday,14thMarch, 2025, at the Taj Pamodzi Hotel, in Lusaka under the theme: “Women ‘s Month, Celebrating Women in Various Roles”
The event which was graced by Her Honour the Republican Vice President, Mrs W. K. Mutale Nalumango also saw other women recognised for their demonstrated excellence, leadership, and dedication in their respective fields.
The ZAWJ is a chapter of the International Association of Women Judges (LAWJ). It is a global network of over 10,000 judges with membership in 143 countries.
Its vision is a World where gender equality, respect for human rights, and inclusive justice system are the norm while its mission is to support and empower its global network of women judges to advance gender equality and human rights.
