Minister of Green Economy and Environment – On the 2024/2025 Rainy Season Forecast.
 
8. QUESTIONS FOR ORAL ANSWER (STANDING ORDER 80)
 
1. Ms Katuta (Chienge) - to ask the Minister of Agriculture:
 
(a) when the construction of the Mununga Food Reserve Agency Silos in Chienge District will resume;
 
(b) what the cause of the delay in completing the project is; and
 
(c) what the time frame for the completion of the project is.
 
2. Mr Andeleki (Katombola)  -  to ask the Minister of Health:
 
(a) whether the Government has any plans to construct a mortuary at Kazungula District Hospital;
 
(b) if so, when the plans will be implemented; and
 
(c) what the estimated cost of the project is.
 
3. Mr Emmanuel Banda (Muchinga)  -  to ask the Minister of Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development:
 
(a) whether the Government has any plans to upgrade Ndabala - Chibale road in Serenje District to bituminous standard;
 
(b) if so, when the plans will be implemented; and
 
(c) if there are no such plans, why.
 
4. Ms Munashabantu (Mapatizya)  -  to ask the Minister of Water Development and Sanitation:
 
(a) whether the Government has any plans to rehabilitate the following dams in Mapatizya Parliamentary Constituency:
 
(i) Kayuni; (vii) Chalinga;
(ii) Chuundwe; (viii) Mbwiko;
(iii) Chalimongela; (ix) Muziya;
(iv)     Ngobe; (x) Safari;
(v) Baswene; (xi) Jingainga; and 
(vi) Mubiyana; (xii) Kalimabukede; 
 
(b) if so, when the plans will be implemented; and
 
(c) if there are no such plans, why.
 
5. Mr Kang’ombe (Kamfinsa)  -  to ask the Minister of Finance and National Planning:
 
(a) whether the Government is aware that the increase in the Statutory Reserve Ratio, the price of fuel and the depreciation of the Kwacha are adversely affecting the performance of the economy; and
 
(b) if so, what measures are being taken to minimise the negative impact of these developments on the citizens, especially the vulnerable.
