QUESTIONS FOR ORAL ANSWER (STANDING ORDER 76)
 
124. Mr Simumba (Nakonde) - to ask the Minister of Health:
 
(a) why the Government had not repaired the broken radiation machine at the Cancer Diseases Hospital, in Lusaka which has resulted in cancer patients being referred to Tanzania for treatment;
 
(b) what urgent measures are being taken to repair the machine;
 
(c) whether the Government is covering the cost of the patients being referred to Tanzania; and
 
(d) if so, what the cost of referring one patient is.
 
125. Mr Mtayachalo (Chama North) - to ask the Minister of Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development:
 
(a) whether the Government is aware that the temporary bridge across the Luangwa River on the Chama - Matumbo road in Chama District, is on the verge of collapse thereby posing a risk to the lives of motorists and pedestrians;
 
(b) if so, what urgent measures are being taken to avert loss of life and property and to ensure that the bridge remains usable; and
 
(c) when the Government will construct a permanent bridge at the crossing point.

126. Mr C Kang’ombe (Kamfinsa) - to ask theMinister of Green Economy and Environment:
 
(a) whether the Government has any plans to degazette a portion of Mwekera Forest in Kitwe District in order to accommodate settlers; 
 
(b) if so, how many hectares of land will be apportioned; 
 
(c) when the plans will be implemented; and
 
(d) if there are no such plans, why.
 
127. Mr Kolala (Lufubu) - to ask the Minister of Energy:
 
(a) when Ngabwe District will be connected to the national electricity grid; and
 
(b) what the cause of the delay in connecting the District is.
 
128. Mr Mwene (Mangango) - to ask the Minister of Defence:
 
(a) whether the Government has any plans to construct staff houses at Zambia National Service, Shabo Camp in Mangango Parliamentary Constituency;
 
(b) if so, when the plans will be implemented; and
 
(c) if there are no such plans, why.
 
129. Mr Mapani (Namwala) - to ask the Minister of Fisheries and Livestock:
 
(a) whether the Government has any plans to construct dip tanks in Namwala District; 
 
(b) if so, when the plans will be implemented;
 
(c) how many dip tanks are earmarked for construction in 2023; 
 
(d) what the estimated cost of constructing each dip tank is; and
 
(e) if there are no such plans, why.
