QUESTIONS FOR ORAL ANSWER (STANDING ORDER 74)
106. Mr. Chanda (Kanchibiya) - to ask theMinister of Energy:
(a) whether the Government has any plans to set up a solar plant in Kanchibiya District, in order to enhance electricity supply to the District and surrounding areas;
(b) if so, when the plans will be implemented;
(c) what the estimated cost of the project is; and
(d) if there are no such plans, what alternative measures are being taken to resolve the energy challenge in the area.
107. Mr. Chibombwe (Bahati) - to ask the Minister of Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development:
(a) whether the Government has any plans to construct another bridge across Mansa River on the Mansa - Kawambwa road in Mansa District to replace the current bridge which is in a deplorable state;
(a) if so, when the plans will be implemented; and
(b) if there are no such plans, why.
108. Mr. C Chibuye (Mkushi North) - to ask the Minister of Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development:
(a) when the construction of Masansa Local Court in Mkushi District will be completed;
(b) what the cause of the delay in completing the project is;
(c) how much money was paid to the contractor, as of June, 2023;
(d) what the balance was, as of the same date; and
(e) what the time frame for the completion of the project is.
109. Ms. Halwiindi (Kabwe Central) - to ask the Minister of Education:
(a) whether the Government has any plans to construct a boarding secondary school in Kafulamase area in Kabwe Central Parliamentary Constituency;
(b) if so, when the plans will be implemented; and
(c) whether the school will cater for both girls and boys.
110. Mr. Mwene (Mangango) - to ask the Minister of Home Affairs and Internal Security:
(a) whether the Government has any plans to construct staff houses at Nyango Correctional Service Training School in Kaoma District;
(b) if so, when the plans will be implemented; and
(c) if there are no such plans, why.
