The Vice President
 
Suspend Standing Orders: That Standing Orders 26, 27, 51 and 80 of the National Assembly of Zambia Standing Orders, 2021, be suspended to enable the House to sit from 0900 hours until Business has been concluded on Friday, 24th February, 2023, and also to omit the Vice President’s Question Time from the Order Paper.
 
QUESTIONS FOR ORAL ANSWER (STANDING ORDER 74)
 
164. Mr Miyutu (Kalabo Central) - to ask the Minister of Health:
 
(a) whether the Government has any plans to construct mini hospitals in Kalabo District and other parts of the country;
 
(b) if so, how many hospitals are earmarked for construction in the district;
 
(c) when the plans will be implemented; and
 
(d) if there are no such plans, why.
 
 
165. Ms Nakaponda (Isoka) - to ask the Minister of Fisheries and Livestock:
 
(a) whether the Government has any empowerment programmes in fish farming for the women and youths, countrywide;
 
(b) if so, when the programmes will be implemented;
 
(c) what the annual targeted number of beneficiaries is ; and
 
(d) if there are no such plans, why.
 
 
166. Mr Mutale (Chitambo) - to ask the Minister of Small and Medium Enterprise Development:
 
(a) whether the Government has any plans to empower women and youth cooperatives in Chitambo District with agricultural machinery; 
 
(b) if so, when the plans will be implemented; and
 
(c) if there are no such plans, why.
 
 
167. Ms Nakaponda (Isoka) - to ask the Minister of Energy:
 
(a) whether the Government has any plans to electrify the following Wards in Isoka Parliamentary Constituency:
 
(i) Mpungu;                                                                                                (v) Nkombwa; 
 
(ii) Kanyala;                                                                                               (vi) Lwangwa; and
 
(iii) Kawandama;                                                                                       (vii) Chinyonga; 
 
(iv) Milongo; 
 
(b) if so, when the plans will be implemented; and
 
(c) if there are no such plans, why.
 
 
168. Mr Miyutu (Kalabo Central) - to ask the Minister of Youth, Sport and Arts:
 
(a) why the construction of the Kalabo Resource Centre in Kalabo District has stalled;
 
(b) when the construction works will resume;
 
(c) what the cost of the project is;
 
(d) who the contractor for the project is; and
 
(e) how much money was paid to the contractor, as of February, 2022.
 
 
169. Mr E Daka (Msanzala) - to ask the Minister of Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development:
 
(a) whether the Government has any plans to rehabilitate the Lusangazi Bridge in Msanzala Parliamentary Constituency; and
 
(b) if so, when the plans will be implemented. 
 
 
170. Mr Miyutu (Kalabo Central) - to ask the Minister of Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development:
 
(a) why the Kalabo-Sikongo road construction project has stalled since 2018;
 
(b) when the project wil resume;
 
(c) what the cost of the project is; and
 
(d) what the time frame for the completion of the project is.

Adopt Report of the Zambian Delegation to the Pan African Parliament:  That this House do adopt the Report of the Zambian Delegation to the Pan African Parliament for meetings held during the First Session of the Sixth Pan African Parliament between 24th October and 9th December, 2022, laid on the Table of the House on 14th February, 2023.
