NAZ COMMITTEE STAFF SHARE LESSONS LEARNT FROM OTHER PARLIAMENTS

The Committee Department held a one day workshop for all members of staff in the Department on Saturday 15th October, 2022 at the Mulungushi International Conference Centre. The aim of the workshop was for members of staff in the Department to share their experiences and lessons learnt from the attachments they had undertaken to various Parliaments earlier in 2022.  In addition, the workshop was a follow up to an earlier Departmental workshop on report and minute writing techniques that was held in August 2022 in Siavonga.

The workshop was officially opened by the Deputy Clerk (Procedure) Mrs Cecilia Sikatele-Mambwe. She paid tribute to the innovative step taken by the Department to share information on the various attachments undertaken by officers. The Deputy Clerk (Procedure) was also delighted that resource persons had been drawn from among staff in the Department. Mrs Sikatele-Mambwe recognised that the National Assembly had a wealth of knowledge within the institution and stated that this was commendable step.

At the end of the workshop, the Department agreed on a united way forward on the resolutions that were made in August regarding the way Committee minutes and reports would be compiled.
