Speaker of the National Assembly, the Rt. Hon Nelly B K Mutti, MP has urged staff at the institution to venture into more activities that promote interaction with the public.
Speaking when she toured the National Assembly of Zambia stand at the ongoing Agricultural and Commercial Show on Saturday, 30th July, 2022, Speaker Mutti said engaging with the public is important as it provides citizens with opportunities and platforms for participating in the work of the institution which includes constituency offices. She encouraged the citizens to take keen interest in the work of Parliament and ultimately the governance of the country.
During the visit, Speaker Mutti took time to interact with the members of the public who took turns in taking pictures with her. She also toured other stands which included, Electoral Commission of Zambia, Anti-Corruption Commission, Zambia Revenue Authority and SEEDCO among others.
