President Hichilema opens the Third Session of the Thirteenth National Assembly of Zambia

His Excellency the President Mr Hakainde Hichilema, President of the Republic of Zambia opened the Third Session of the Thirteenth National Assembly of Zambia.

In His Address to the nation, President Hichilema outlined his Government’s priorities for the coming year. Including economic recovery, improvement of health delivery services, poverty reduction and job creation among others. He also called for unity and cooperation among Zambians to ensure the country moves forward.

The Supplementary Appropriation Act, 2023

An Act to authorise supplementary expenditure from the Consolidated Fund of monies required for the services of the Republic during the financial year ending 31st December, 2023, not exceeding in the aggregate eleven billion, five hundred thirteen million, eight hundred forty- five thousand, eight hundred seventy-three-kwacha.

The Zambia Institute of Valuation Surveyors Act, 2023

An Act to provide for the registration of valuation surveyors and regulate their practice and professional conduct; continue the existence of the Valuation Surveyors Registration Board and re-name it as the Zambia Institute of Valuation Surveyors and re-define its functions; repeal and replace the Valuation Surveyors Act; and provide for matters connected with, or incidental to, the foregoing.

SPEAKER NELLY MUTTI ENGAGES JOURNALISTS AND LAUNCHES SOCIAL MEDIA PRESENCE

In a recent media breakfast meeting held on Monday, 21st August, 2023 at the Intercontinental Hotel in Lusaka, Zambia, the Right Honourable Nelly B. K. Mutti, MP, FAPRA, Speaker of the National Assembly of Zambia, aimed to strengthen the relationship between the National Assembly, the media, and the people of Zambia.

During the meeting, Speaker Mutti engaged with journalists, discussing parliamentary issues and expressing gratitude for support from the European Union and United Nations Development Programme.
