Registration and Development of Villages Act

An Act to provide for the registration of villages and of the inhabitants thereof; to

provide for the establishment of Village Productivity Committees, Ward

Councils and Ward Development Committees; and to provide for matters

connected with or incidental to the foregoing.

District Messengers Act

An Act to provide for the appointment, conditions of service, powers, duties and

discipline of District Messengers; and to provide for matters incidental to or

connected with the foregoin.

Chiefs Act

An Act to make provision for the recognition, appointment andfunctions of Chiefs

and Deputy Chiefs; for the exclusion of former Chiefs and Deputy Chiefs from

specified areas in the interests of public order; for the appointment and

functions of kapasus; and for matters incidental to or connected with the

foregoing.

Local Authorities Superannuation Fund Act

An Act to make provision for the establishment of a Superannuation Fund for

employees of local authorities and other public bodies; to provide for the

vesting of such Fund in a Management Committee and for the powers and

duties of such Committee; to provide for the payment of contributions to and

pensions and gratuities from such Fund; and to provide for matters incidental

to and connected with the foregoing

Town and Country Planning Act

An Act to make provision for the appoint

ment of planning authorities, for the

establishment of a Town and Country Planning Tribunal, for the preparation,

approval and revocation of development plans, for the control of  development

and subdivision of land,for the assessment and payment of compensation in respect of planning decisions, for the preparation, approval and revocation or modification of regional plans; and for matters connected with and incidental to the foregoing.

Local Government Elections Act

An Act to provide for the conduct of local government elections; to establish the

Local Government Electoral Commission and to specify the functions thereof;

and to provide for matters incidental to or connected with the foregoing

Local Government Act

An Act to provide for an integrated three tier local administration system; to define

the functions of local authorities; to repeal the Local Administration Act and

certain related laws; and to provide for matters connected

with or incidental to the foregoing.

Non-Designated Expatriate Officers (Retiring Benefits) Act

An Act to implement the scheme of retirement benefits for non-designated

expatriate officers; and to provide for matters incidental thereto or connected

therewith.

Widows and Orphans Pension Act

An Act to make provision for granting pensions to widows and children of

deceased European public officers
